Eisenhower West / Landmark Van Dorn Implementation Advisory Group Meeting , Alexandria, Virginia: 7 PM, Thursday, March 14, 2019
The Eisenhower West/Landmark Van Dorn Implementation Advisory Group will hold a meeting on Thursday, March 14 at 7 p.m. in the Patrick Henry Recreation Center (4643 Taney Ave.). The meeting will include a presentation on the Virginia Paving Special Use Permit and other implementation efforts within the Eisenhower West and Landmark/Van Dorn plan areas.
Advisory Group meetings are open to the public and members of the community are encouraged to attend and participate.

Green Building Policy Update Task Force Meeting, Alexandria, Virginia: 8:30 PM, Wednesday, March 13, 2019
The third meeting of the Green Building Policy Update Task Force will be held on Wednesday, March 13 from 8:30-10 a.m. in City Hall’s Sister Cities Conference Room 1101, 301 King Street. The Task Force will review and comment on a proposed outline for the Green Building Policy update report.
Authorized through City Council resolution, the Green Building Policy Update Task Force is considering topics such as increasing LEED or equivalent third-party green building certification standards for new private development and establishing separate standards for new public development; prioritizing specific green building elements; incorporating incentives to promote green building; and introducing green building standards for existing buildings and for small buildings not subject to site plan review.
